How does Cloud Backup work?
Software is installed on your server to select the data to be backed up, manage the connection to the internet and the encryption / compression of the data. An initial seed backup of your data is taken onto a removable device & restored to our data centre. Thereafter only changes to your data is backed up online, thus keeping the size and cost of your backups to a minimum.
Backups are scheduled to run daily, mostly overnight, and the data is backed up to our data centre in RBK Athlone. The data is compressed to ensure that the backups are efficient and completed as quickly as possible. The data centre in Athlone is replicated in real-time to our data centre in RBK Dublin, ensuring you have maximum redundancy.
Is my Data Secure?
Yes, your data is completely secure and is compressed and secured using 256– bit encryption. The servers in our data centres are secure and only accessible by authorised personnel, who log in using Account logins and passwords. The process is extremely reliable and you will receive daily reports with the results of your backup.
How do I Restore Data if I need to?
RBKs Backup Software allows users to restore backup data via the Internet. In the event of having to restore a crashed operating system, application or file you can simply leave the work to us. Our engineers can restore the required data quickly.
